Web Pages in Education

I think using web pages to represent your school is very important. The problem with most school/district pages is they are trying to include so much information in a small space. Many are difficult to follow. A stranger to the site could get lost trying to find one piece of information. The web pages are important for parents to see what is going on, for new hires to look at the district, and for staff to keep in contact with parents. Things that should be included are individual school calendars, e-mails for staff members, great things happening at that school, school newsletters, etc.. We can read the lunch menu from the newspaper, we don't need that as another link. There are far to many links on most school district websites.They do not get used to their full potential due to the difficulty of use.
