Perfect World

In a perfect world each teacher would have a website for their students and parents to access. This could be used as a place for students to find homework or resources to help with homework. There could be a chat section for kids to have discussions about homework or blogs. Could be possible to upload worksheets so students can print at home if forgotten at school. Many publishers of textbooks now have on-line resources where students can find texts on line, so know more I forgot my book at home. Parents could find calendars, check grades, e-mail teachers, or see photos of what there child has been doing. All of these individual sites could be linked from the district website by school. Wouldn't it be great for there to be a person in each school to help train teachers to do this so they could be updated on a regular basis. This would have to be a district commitment as well as a school wide and staff wide commitment. Obviously all of this also depends on having computers available to parents and students so they can access this information.
