What's Inside?

I know very little about how or why a computer works the way it does. I know names of some parts of the computer but being able to identify them is not my area of expertise by far. Looking at the links of interest did help clarify some areas for me but I am very much a visual learner, I have to see to understand. I wish there would have been more visuals to compare what they were saying with what it looks like in a computer. I am going to be very interested to see if I labeled parts correctly. I tried to go by what we saw in class combined with a little common sense. I at first tried to take a part my daughter's older iMac (1999ish) but could not figure out how to remove top or back, frustrated the heck out of the husband. My newer iMac G5 was much easier with just three screws on the bottom.
